About me

My name is Jessica Lynn, and I’ve been creating photographs for nearly two decades. With a BFA in Photography and a passion for both digital and analog processes, my work blends fine art surrealism with the timeless beauty of portraiture. From individuals and families to unforgettable moments at car shows and community events, I’m always drawn to the unique energy and story each subject brings.

Creativity runs deep in my family. Both my great-grandmother, Irena Ruther-Rabinowicz, and my great-grandfather, Hubert Ruther, were painters in Germany in the early 1900s. Their work still hangs in museums there today. To make their living, they painted portraits and landscapes. I’m so proud of that heritage, and I carry their artistic spirit forward as a portrait photographer. One of my favorite projects was recreating Irena's self-portrait in black lace, a piece that connects my work to hers across generations.
